Arriving at Dortmund HBF (Main Station):
Leave the station at the southern exit. Cross the big street (4 lanes), pass the taxi rank and climb the large, wide stairs. Follow the street straight ahead unto the next side street (Kampstraße). Follow the tramway rails to the east to the next tram stop to the left. Use tram line 403 for 3 stations (1st Reinoldikirche, 2nd Ostentor, 3rd Lippestraße), exit at Lippestraße. Follow the street Lippestraße and go straight ahead until You reach street Arndtstraße (at the right side is restaurant Sultan). Use Arndtstraße for approx. 50 metres and the hotel union can be seen. The time required for the walk from Lippestraße is only 2 minutes. -
Motorway A2 (from directions Oberhausen, Bremen and Hannover):
Use motorway exit Dortmund-Nordost, continue on the B 236, direction Schwerte. Use exit Borsigplatz, direction Borsigplatz. On street Brackler Straße continue to the first traffic lights, join left lane (hint: Shell station on the corner). Turn left in the street "Im Spähenfeld" and drive straight ahead for some time. After a underbridge you cross tram rails. The street "Im Spähenfeld" now changes to "Franziskaner Straße". On the next traffic light turn right into the Prinz-Friedrich-Karl-Straße (hint: on the left is a church). Continue on the Prinz-Friedrich-Karl-Straße unto the cross-way with street Moltkestraße and turn right. Use Moltkestraße and turn right again at the next cross-way (street Arndtstraße). Follow street Arndtstraße unto the house no. 66, the house with the red marquees. -
Motorway A40/B1 (from directions Essen, Duisburg / Venlo):
Follow the A 40/B 1. Inside the city of Dortmund, it will pass under the motorway B 54. The street has 4 lanes at this point. After the bridge stay on the right and use the 2nd lane (counted from the right). After approx. 500 metres, the street splits into two two-laned streets, passing under a blue pedestrian bridge. After another 500 metres you reach street Märkische Straße. Use left lane and turn left into Märkische Straße. Continue on Märkische Straße unto street Heiliger Weg, which departs to the right - follow it. After passing under a bridge, on the third traffic light, turn to the right into street Arndtstraße. Follow street Arndtstraße unto the house no. 66, the house with the red marquees. -
Motorway A 44, E 331 (from directions Kassel and Airport Dortmund):
Follow the A 44 / E 331., stay on right lane. Note: Do not use middle or left lane after "Westfahlendamm", for those lanes lead to the tunnel to Essen! Hence stay on the most right lane unto street Märkische Straße. Turn right into Märkische Straße (hint: on the right is a branch of bank Sparkasse). Continue on Märkische Straße unto street Heiliger Weg, which departs to the right - follow it. After passing under a bridge, on the third traffic light, turn to the right into street Arndtstraße. Follow street Arndtstraße unto the house no. 66, the house with the red marquees. -
Motorway A 45 / B 54 (from direction Frankfurt):
Leave A45 at exit Dortmund Süd-West and drive on, using motorway B 54, direction Dortmund. After approx. 8 km turn right into motorway B 1, stay right. Afte pedestrian bridge, use left lane and turn into street Märkische Straße, continue on Märkische Straße until street Heiliger Weg - use it (turn left). After passing under a bridge, on the third traffic light, turn to the right into street Arndtstraße. Follow street Arndtstraße unto the house no. 66, the house with the red marquees.
